Terms & Conditions

By renting or purchasing with Silk Stem Collective LLC, the customer agrees that he/she understands and accepts the following Terms and Conditions. The following conditions apply to both shipped items and local pickups unless otherwise stated. “Items” are defined as all items specified in the order summary.
Rental Terms

Shipped items will arrive at least 3 days prior to the event date specified in the order, and items will be shipped back to Silk Stem Collective on the day after the event. If the day after the event is a Sunday or a holiday, shipping the following day is allowed. Late shipments will be charged a fee of 10% of the pre-tax/pre-shipping order total per day late, up to seven days. Items not shipped within seven days of the required ship date will be considered “kept” and the customer will be charged full retail price as listed in these Terms and Conditions. Return shipping costs and late fee charges will not be refunded.


For local pickup items, items will be picked up on the agreed upon date. Early and late pickups may be accommodated based on circumstances but will not change the end date of the rental period. No-shows will be charged the full amount of the order, including taxes. Items not returned on the agreed upon return date will be charged a fee of 10% of the pre-tax order total per day late, up to seven days. Items not returned within seven days of the return date will be considered “kept” and the customer will be charged full retail price as listed in these Terms and Conditions. Return shipping costs and late fee charges will not be refunded.


All items should be returned in the original packaging and packaged in the manner they arrived to the customer, using the return shipping label provided. If alternative return shipping is used, the customer will pay this cost and Silk Stem Collective will not be required to reimburse the customer. If packaging is damaged and unusable, please contact Silk Stem Collective at support@silkstemcollective.com to arrange for alternate packaging.

Use of Rental Items
All rental items should be used only for their intended purpose. Florals should not be used near an open flame. Any damage due to negligent treatment or use of the items other than their intended use will not be covered under the “normal wear and tear” clause. The customer will be charged the full retail price for this damage.
Payment and Cancellation

Payment will be made in full at the time the order is placed.

 

Silk Stem Collective requires a 60 day notice of cancellation to receive a full refund. If cancellation is made 14-60 days before the event date, a 50% refund will be issued. No refund will be issued if an order is cancelled within 14 days of the event date.

Cancellations must be submitted by email to Silk Stem Collective.

Order Changes

Silk Stem Collective will accommodate order changes made more than 60 days from the event date at no additional cost. Order changes made within 60 days of the event date will be accepted based on availability. Change requests must be submitted by email to Silk Stem Collective.

Rebooking

If the original event date changes for any reason, all booked items can be transferred to the new event date at no additional cost, contingent on item availability. Any items not available on the new event date will be refunded based on the above cancellation policy (using the original event date as the reference date).

Damages and Insurance

By renting with Silk Stem Collective, the customer agrees that he/she will return all rented items in the condition in which they arrived. Upon first arrival, the items should be inspected for damage caused by shipping. Silk Stem Collective will assume the items arrived in the proper condition unless notified otherwise by the customer via photograph within 24 hours of receipt.
The customer will not be charged for damage related to normal wear and tear including, but not limited to:

  • Broken flowers
  • Missing petals or leaves
  • Torn or frayed ribbon
  • Watermarked or stained ribbon
  • Missing pins
  • Bent stems
  • Missing boutonniere/corsage box
  • Missing informational materials from shipping box

The customer will be charged the posted retail price for any items not returned, as well as for any damage beyond normal wear and tear, including but not limited to:

  • More than one flower missing from a bouquet
  • Disassembled or rearranged bouquet
  • Burnt or melted petals or stems
  • Missing shipping box ($10)
  • Missing foam insert in shipping box ($15)
  • Sample not returned ($50 per bouquet)

Damage fees will be automatically charged to the credit card on file with the order when the order is re-inventoried with Silk Stem Collective.
Silk Stem Collective is not responsible for any damage to personal property or nearby property directly or indirectly caused by Silk Stem Collective items, including but not limited to dyes bleeding, clothing snags, tablecloth stains, or other personal injury.
